This was an intersting project at the time as it was the first time we had created a package design of this kind. The challenges include the fact the design is printed on clear plastic meaning white needs to be laid down first. It is also tricky in that the design wraps around a flexible package which results in wrinkles and glare. Of course there is also the issue of the product showing through, too, which means the "look" of the product needs to be taken into account as part of the overall design.
Our goal was to create something that stands out in an increasingly competitive market of ready-to-eat produce. We wanted to create something that had an intentionally old fashioned feel to it while also appearing fresh and bright.
